Podcast Episode #48 This is live podcast coverage of the opening keynote of Social Media Marketing World 2014. Michael Stelzner kicked things off with a great presentation covering key points that he pulled out of a recent survey of nearly three thousand marketers. Here I am pictured above with Michael Stelzner who I am honored […]
Podcast Episode #47 Today kicked off Social Media Marketing World 2014 with the opening keynote by Micheal Stelzner. I’ll release my podcast and notes on his talk tomorrow. First, today’s podcast was based on a discussion I had last night on the USS Midway where the evening networking event was held. Andrea Vahl is the […]

Being in the business of building websites and performing ongoing search marketing for my clients, I can tell you with complete certainty that most people want lots and lots of traffic to their websites. They want huge Facebook fan bases. They want thousands of Twitter followers.
If you read my most recent blog post, you know that I am a brand ambassador for .ME. This means that, first of all, I need to be clear that this is another sponsored blog post. This means I am getting paid to write it. However, the next thing you should know is I won’t […]
When I first launched the Nuclear Chowder Marketing website, I had a couple of very specific goals. First, I wanted to demonstrate that money loves speed. The second was to test some new and popular marketing strategies. I will explain both of these goals in a moment.
Are you one of those businesses who doesn’t think a search engine strategy is necessary for your business? Do you think creating content via your blog, video or a podcast is unnecessary? Do you measure search engine success by where your website shows up on the results page? And do you think that it is […]
In this episode #42 of the Nuclear Chowder Podcast we’re going to deviate from our regular format to answer a question posed to me by a client. My client asked, “How do I get new customers fast?” I thought it would be great to answer it here on the podcast because I bet many other businesses have this same burning question. To help, I brought on a guest panel of entrepreneurs and experts to share their wisdom.
This may be a little controversial. I may very well get screamed at by some of my friends who run SEO companies. My digital marketing company provides SEO services and training so hopefully that tells you I don’t have an axe to grind at all. If anything, I am un-selling my own services to certain […]
In this week’s episode #41, I’m going to talk about marketers who make me want to be sick, the newest Facebook business page algorithm change and the reason why I feel you must have a self-hosted blog. But first, I want to share some thoughts on how this show has evolved and new directions for it. I will also share a resource of the week, a shout out of the week and a special sponsor spot.
It’s 2014. If you do not have a blog and a solid content marketing plan to fuel it for your business, you are at a serious disadvantage. Your online marketing strategy and overall SEO will suffer drastically in the coming months and years. I’m going to be talking more about this in future posts. I’ll […]
New Media Expo took place this past January 4th through the 6th in Las Vegas. Although it was a challenge getting there through snowpocalypse 2014, (my flight barely and scarily got off the ground), the event was excellent.
We’ve seen massive changes from Google, Facebook and many other online platforms. We’ve seen new platforms take shape and young ones break away from the pack. The online world has transformed in just one short year.
One of my big prediction for 2014 is that businesses will need to step up their social media strategy.
